Job description

Your Role as UX/UI Designer at Blyce

As UX/UI Designer at Blyce, you create user-friendly software solutions for government organizations across developing countries and islands like Curaçao, Bonaire, Suriname, and more. Your designs serve citizens and tax authorities, supporting the digital transformation of entire societies. You balance usability with budget constraints, crafting flexible solutions that can be customized for future clients. Your work drives digital innovation in over 20 governments, including the Dutch Caribbean, Suriname, Grenada, and Papua New Guinea.

 

Your responsibilities include:

  • Researching and analyzing client needs and user challenges;

  • Engaging with clients to gather information and ask the right questions;

  • Mapping out design flows based on user groups and requirements;

  • Creating and refining designs for client approval;

  • Transforming approved designs into final user interfaces;

  • Contributing to the digital transformation of developing countries and islands.

Job requirements

What do we need from you?

  • You have 5+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer;

  • You have a higher education (HBO) in Media Design, Interaction Design, IT, Computer Science, etc;

  • You are proficiency in design tools like Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite;

  • You are familiar with Agile/Scrum;

  • You have a strong portfolio showcasing your UX/UI design work;

  • You speak and write advanced English and Spanish.

  • You have a genuine interest in processes and a deep understanding of user needs;

  • You work independently and take full ownership of the entire UX/UI discipline.
