Your Challenge as an IT Engineer

As an IT Engineer, you will provide hands-on IT support to our colleagues in Medellín while contributing to broader IT projects and team responsibilities. You will help ensure that users receive reliable support, systems are properly maintained, and technical issues are addressed in a structured and practical way.

This role combines local end-user support with system maintenance, project coordination, and continuous improvement. You will work with Microsoft technologies, collaborate with both end users and technical stakeholders, and help the team maintain an overview of ongoing work. Depending on your experience, you may also independently lead IT projects.

We are looking for an experienced IT professional who works independently, communicates clearly, and approaches technical challenges systematically. You should be comfortable identifying gaps in processes or policies and translating those observations into practical improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide local IT support to employees in Medellín.

• Diagnose and resolve end-user hardware, software, system, and access-related issues.

• Support and maintain the organization’s Microsoft environment, including Microsoft Entra ID and Windows Server environments.

• Perform system maintenance and help ensure the reliability and continuity of IT services.

• Participate in IT projects and contribute to broader team initiatives.

• Coordinate IT activities across teams and communicate effectively with end users and technical stakeholders.

• Plan and organize assigned work while maintaining an overview of priorities and ongoing activities.

• Investigate technical problems systematically by identifying and analyzing their underlying components.

• Identify possible gaps in existing IT procedures and policies and contribute to their improvement.

• Contribute to the IT team’s annual goals and KPIs.

• Independently manage IT projects when appropriate to the experience level of the selected candidate.

• Remain current with relevant IT standards and practices.

Requirements

• Professional degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

• Between 5 and 10 years of relevant IT experience.

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft environments.

• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID.

• Experience working with Windows Server environments.

• Experience providing end-user technical support.

• Experience maintaining IT systems and infrastructure.

• English proficiency (written and spoken) C1 level, dutch is also acceptable.

• Availability to work from Medellín in a hybrid work model.

• Willingness to travel internationally when required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in multiple organizational or corporate environments.

• Experience in roles combining user support, systems administration, and project work.

• Experience independently leading or coordinating IT projects.

• Familiarity with IT service management, operational procedures, or process improvement initiatives.
