Your challenge as DevOps Engineer
Are you ready to take on a dynamic role as a DevOps Engineer with Blyce? Step into a position where you'll play a part in the digital transformation journeys of government clients in Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and developing countries, including Curaçao, Bonaire, Anguilla, and Samoa. Your mission: empower these nations to leverage technology to drive meaningful change and enhance the quality of life for their citizens.
As a DevOps Engineer at Blyce, you join a close-knit Deployment team based in Curaçao, known for staying calm under pressure and tackling challenges with innovative, and when required, out-of-the-box solutions. Our team culture thrives on strong bonds, humor, and seamless collaboration, where taking ownership is crucial. You become the central point for all stakeholders, intricately involved in every process step, from sales to testing, development, and customer interactions. Your role will require strong communication and collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure alignment and success.
Your diverse responsibilities will include:
- Managing ticket-based tasks using Jira.
- Conducting installations for clients, including deploying new versions.
- Handling administrative tasks to ensure optimal environment performance.
- Performing maintenance tasks on infrastructures such as backups and monitoring.
- Resolving customer related incidents.
- Driving improvements through automation and innovation.
- Addressing client escalations.
- Supporting sales processes by providing technical insights.
- Creating procedures and manuals.
- Providing client training, often online, with occasional on-site sessions.

- An excellent gross salary between ANG 5,750 and 8,450 per month (based on experience and full-time employment in Curacao).
- A one-year contract followed by an indefinite contract when we are the perfect match.

Job requirements
What do we need from you?
- At least 4 years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer, Technical Application Support Engineer, Software Engineer, Server or Database Administrator, or a similar role.
- HBO-level education or equivalent experience.
- A completed degree in IT or a related field.
- Proficiency in English is required; Dutch is a plus.
- Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Command-line Interface, SQL Query) and automation.
- Familiarity with Windows-based environments and/or SQL Server database systems.
An advantage if:
- You have experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (Jenkins) an/or application virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- You have experience with Linux.
- You have experience with software configuration management (Subversion).
- You have knowledge of Networking, Web application security and general IT security.
