Your Challenge as a Deployment Coordinator
Are you ready to take on a leadership role in a fast-paced, innovative environment? Join us at Blyce in Curaçao as a Deployment Coordinator and play a key role in coordinating our team of Deployment Engineers. You will be the strategic link between technical execution and business objectives, ensuring smooth deployment processes, automation improvements, and efficient team operations.
As a Deployment Coordinator, you oversee the planning, distribution of tasks, roadmap development, and goal-setting for the coming year. You prioritize work, facilitate team meetings, and act as the first point of contact for any deployment-related issues. Your leadership and technical background will help shape the team’s success while ensuring alignment with Blyce’s broader technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Team Coordination & Planning: Lead and coordinate a team of five Deployment Engineers, managing task distribution, workload balance, and prioritization, in close collaboration with the Lead Deployment Engineer.
Roadmap & Strategy: Develop the roadmap for the coming year, set clear goals, and identify and drive opportunities for automation and process improvements.
First Point of Contact: Act as the gatekeeper between teams, managing priorities, handling issues, and aligning with Tech Leads, Delivery Coordinators, and the Deployment Team.
Daily Stand-Ups & Retrospectives: Conduct daily stand-up meetings to align on daily and upcoming tasks, introduce retrospectives, and implement continuous improvement practices.
Automation & Tooling Optimization: Drive the adoption of automation and ensure the right tooling is in place for efficient deployment processes.
Stakeholder Communication: Engage with various teams across the organization, ensuring clarity and alignment on objectives.
Leadership & Team Development: Establish clear agreements within the team, mentor engineers, and foster a collaborative and high-performing culture.

A competitive gross monthly salary between XCG 6,800 and 9,050 (based on experience and full-time employment on Curaçao);
23 vacation days, with the option to buy or sell 8 additional days each year;
8.33% vacation pay;

Job requirements
What We Need From You
Experience: At least 8 years of work experience in the deployment area, including 4+ years in a lead role.
Education: A completed degree in IT or a related field.
Languages: Proficiency in English & Dutch is required.
Technical Skills: Strong experience with scripting (PowerShell, Command-line Interface, SQL Query) and deployment automation.
System Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows-based environments and/or SQL Server database systems.
Advantageous Skills:
Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (Jenkins) and/or application virtualization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with Linux.
Experience with software configuration management (Subversion).
Knowledge of Networking, Web application security, and general IT security.
