Your Challenge as Data Architect

Are you ready to shape the future of data at a fast-growing, international technology company? Blyce is looking for a Data Architect to join our Technology/Product team in Curaçao or Medellín. In this foundational role, you will play a central part in establishing a data-first foundation across the organization, designing and governing data models, flows, and access patterns, and mentoring teams toward a data-first mindset.

Every day, you will help ensure Blyce operates with structured, scalable, and secure data practices while enabling our teams to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

Data Architecture & Governance

• Design and govern data models, data flows, and integration patterns across the organization.

• Define data ownership, boundaries, responsibilities, and access/security patterns.

• Establish scalable architectures for analytics, data lakes, and data warehouses.

• Ensure strong data security, privacy, and governance practices are implemented.

Mentorship & Leadership

• Mentor teams toward a data-first mindset and best practices in architecture.

• Act as a trusted advisor on data strategy, architecture decisions, and operational improvements.

• Lead through knowledge sharing and practical decision-making across teams.

Strategic Impact

• Balance structure with pragmatism, turning abstract concepts into actionable solutions.

• Identify and address real pain points in live environments that create operational pressure.

• Support the organization’s transition to a unified, product-centric approach for data and analytics.

We Offer an Attractive Benefits Package Including:

• A competitive gross monthly salary (based on experience and full-time employment on Curaçao);

• One-year contract transitioning to indefinite when we’re the perfect match;

What We Need From You

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, or similar roles.

• Proven end-to-end architecture design experience.

• High level of English proficiency (non-negotiable).

• Indirect leadership experience; this is not a people management role.

• Proven experience designing end-to-end data architectures in complex environments.

• Strong data modeling skills (conceptual, logical, physical) and experience with data warehouses and data lakes.

• Expertise in ETL/ELT, SQL, integration patterns, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Strong knowledge of data security, privacy, and governance.
